Seniors Spoke During Maryland Team Meeting

Jan 23, 2011 5:02 PM

Maryland's seniors rose and spoke during a team meeting prior to Saturday's game against Clemson.

"We told them about our experience in the NIT our freshman year," senior guard Adrian Bowie said. "It's not a fun experience. We didn't want to go back."

The Terrapins went on to beat Clemson, 79-77, to get back on track.

Maryland will need more wins to boost their NCAA Tournament hopes, but they needed a victory after losing three of their first four ACC games.

"We needed to come back and prove to everybody, especially after playing bad against Virginia Tech, that we're a team to be reckoned with," said sophomore center Jordan Williams.
